The landmark

Mirik Lake, also called Sumendu Lake, is the town’s best-known attraction. The natural lake is about 1.25 km long and is crossed by an arched footbridge connecting the garden and pine-covered sides.
A road and walking path circle the lake, making it easy to explore at a relaxed pace. Horse riding is a familiar lakeside activity; availability of boating can change with local conditions.
